Metallurgically, steel
melt shop performance is greatly influenced by the quality of the
metallic input.AIPPL uses its own produced DRI with the
exactly required parameters which ultimately produces the best output.
The Steel melting shop uses induction furnaces and EAF (Electric Arc
Furnace) to continuously produce billets using a continuous caster.
Process control devices, temperature controlling and maintaining
controllers and automation systems are installed in to produce the high
quality billets and blooms.
Blast
FurnaceIn a blast furnace, fuel and ore are continuously
supplied through the top of the furnace, while oxygen enriched air is
blown into the bottom of the chamber, so that the chemical reactions
take place throughout the furnace as the material moves downward.
A
state-of-the-art integrated steel plant is being housed in our
ultra-modern plant consisting of a 0.3MTPA blast furnace along with
associated sinter plant and coke oven facilities for producing
intermediate products used in the production of commercial iron and
steel.
